I’m a longtime tabletop role-player, design geek, and digital professional who spends a lot of time thinking about how games are actually played at the table. I’ve run and played in long-term, immersive campaigns, since the late 70s, (with a large gap in late '90s and early '00s,) and I’m always paying attention to the little tools and rituals that help those experiences hold together over time.
By trade I work in digital design and UX, but my interests have always drifted back toward physical, analog things. I’ve been a letterpress printer, I’ve kept blogs and design notebooks, I’ve self-published small game supplements, and I’ve occasionally shown up in actual-play streams. What ties all of that together is a love of tools that are meant to be used, marked up, and to help enhance the immersion and usability at the table.
I am hoping to continue to expand the offerings through the Foxfield Press brand for game journalling. You can also check out the Albatross Press line of Hexmap Notebooks, and also Interstellar Overthruster for old school space opera hex crawls.
